Courts Seek Review of Missouri Criminal Law Statutes

Posted by RCaldwell on January 22, 2014

Recently, the Missouri Supreme Court Chief Justice spoke out about how she believes it is time for some renovating of the Missouri Criminal law.  An article on this was written in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Here is the link:  http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/political-fix/missouri-chief-justice-says-criminal-code-may-need-an-update/article_e05dd224-4856-5465-9847-ce4c9e4e0117.html.

This article is more of an encapsulation of the what the Chief Justice stated than a conversation about the criminal law, but it is very important to point out that at the very top of the chain of law in Missouri it is well recognized that some revamping needs to be done.

The important tone to take in revamping the law is not to create more senseless laws; rather, the focus needs to on separating out crimes that are not as serious as others and making law that does not cause so many collateral consequences.

The inevitable situation is that bargaining between political parties will occur, so some things that really make sense will only be included if other more radical provisions are included.  We hope that does not happen, as this will cause further need for revision and constitutional challenges down the road.

i don't know i was in house arrest. Instead of to enaorucge the world to bring the Burmese Dictatorship to crime against humanity to court she try to save their life and make them officially rule the country by working with them.

Hav seen so many candidates bontsiag 'I will change the system for better' and finally seen amassing wealth and absuing power within a decade of service, by building an unholy nexus with politicians for getting lucrative tenures etc.I m not saying Ms Divya Dharahini (What a name for a Tamilian !) will do all that; but only point out that such words carry no conviction in today India as v r surrounded by corruption - ridden bureaucracy both at centre and state. A few may b there and v hav seen. But that s negligible, that cd not even make a ripple effect. If u dont believe me, look at today TN. The officers in service while Muka was in power, now are shunted out and posted in sinecures (w/o any use- only salary). And the officers loyal to Je hav been posted. If after 5 yrs, non-Aiadmk comes to power, the current batch of officers will b shunted out.Dont justify the new govt needs new officers. The fact is that there are groups w/in bureaucracy. U join a a group and wait for ur sun shine to make hay. What s this all show it to u?

Sorry to have some differences. English s used to go fast. Sorry again for that.First of all, conargts to the woman who have come first in the competitive exam. Nothing more from me for her ! I don't feel proud and I dont need to held myBut of what use for all Tamilians that ? How does it make our heads held high ? U have not explained it.Why is there the School for Excellence in Law ? Y was it started at all ? Was it to mean the other law colleges r nt/ or shd not be so ?Some time back, there was a proposal to creat schools for excellence for meritorious students mooted by Central Govt ? It was immediately shouted out and buried. Coz. in a democracy it will create unnecy divide among people. V have so many other divisions, and y to add one more, that too, affecting children?Y School for Excellence in Law ? What s the objective of such school ? As u wrote, to create legal luminaries !!Then, what shd other law colleges do ? To produce legal idiots or mediocres? Y this discrimination among institutions created by Govt itself ? http://moaejmkro.com jpdwvoc [link=http://osdfhlqtc.com]osdfhlqtc[/link]
